Three Rivers offers reward in cemetery damage case


THREE RIVERS – The City of Three Rivers is now offering a reward for information regarding vandalism to some headstones.

Three Rivers Police were sent to Riverside Cemetery on December 20 after an employee called, saying several headstones had been damaged. During the investigation, police determined the incident happened between 3 PM on December 19 and 12 PM on December 20.

A person or persons came through the cemetery and vandalized 23 headstones. Attempts were made to locate any footprints around the area of the headstones, but officers were unable to do so.

Cemetery employees did not have any suspects in mind.

A $1,000 reward is now being offered by the City of Three Rivers for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individual or individuals involved in this incident.
