Our November was wetter than normal

LAGRANGE – Our November was wetter than average.

Normal precipitation for the month is just over 3 inches but our gauge in Lagrange received 5.27 inches for the month.

The average temperature for November was 42 degrees at Fort Wayne and 38.9 at South Bend. That was just above normal in the Summit City while South Bend averaged nearly 2 degrees below normal.

Today (Friday) marks the beginning of the meteorological winter season.

The three month temperature outlook issued by the National Weather Service is a push, with equal chances of temperatures running near normal, above average, or below average.

The three month precipitation outlook predicts above normal precipitation through February.
