Ligonier woman charged in Whitley meth bust

WHITLEY COUNTY – State Police arrested a Ligonier woman and Huntington man on meth charges in Whitley County Saturday.

22-year-old Laura Koze of Ligonier was driving the pickup truck that was stopped for a traffic violation on U-S 30 around 12:15 p-m.

Her passenger – 24-year-old Tyler Neal ran from troopers but was apprehended following a short foot pursuit.

Troopers say they found 28 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia inside the truck.

They charged Koze with dealing and possession of meth, and possession of paraphernalia...all with prior convictions. Bail was set at $300-thousand dollars.

Neal is charged with possession of meth and a legend drug, resisting law enforcement, and possession of paraphernalia and false informing. He is also held on warrants from Huntington County for arson and theft, and several traffic charges from Wabash County.
