Angola woman dies in head on crash


FREMONT – State Police say an Angola woman died when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck an SUV Saturday night.

A Steuben County deputy was attempting to stop 33-year-old Ebonie Geddes near the intersection of Old 27 and State Road 120. She allegedly ran the red light and then crossed the center line before hitting the SUV head on.

The driver of the SUV – 17-year-old Haley Bracewell and her passenger, 45-year-old Eric Bracewell of Kent City, Michigan – were treated at Parkview Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

The accident happened around midnight Saturday night.
