(ELKHART COUNTY) – An elderly woman involved in a car crash had died from her injury.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says 82 year old Diana Burns died June 13 from a head injury she received in a May 31 crash at the intersection of County Road 42 and State Road 15.

Deputies say on that day, a 77 year old man failed to yield at the stop sign and struck another vehicle. The driver and a passenger of that second vehicle received minor injuries.

The 77 year old man had minor injuries, along with two other passengers. Burns was in the vehicle and received a head injury and was taken to an area hospital.
