(LAGRANGE) – The LaGrange County Council On Aging has been given the funding to help pay for two new vehicles.

During last week’s meeting, the LaGrange County Commission was presented with a request by COA Executive Director Cheri Perkins for funds to help pay for the new vans. ...... {LISTEN}.

The money would come from the ARPA Funds that LaGrange County received.

Perkins shared with the Commission the reason they requested the two new vehicles is because of the miles they have on their current fleet. ...... {LISTEN}.

Perkins says before COVID-19, the COA was averaging 200 trips a day. When they lost drivers because of the pandemic, the trip numbers went down. Perkins says with drivers coming back, those trip numbers are going up.
