(JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP) – Five people were injured in a two vehicle crash at 7:20 PM Saturday in Cass County's Jefferson Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke says 53 year old Princess Evans of Cassopolis was driving south on M-62. Heading west on Davis Lake Street was a vehicle driven by 34 year old Toni Allen of Cassopolis. Deputies say Allen failed to stop at the intersection and struck Evans.

Evans, Allen and Allen's three children, ages 2, 11 and 12 years old, were all transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Deputies say everyone was wearing their seat belts and strapped in a car seat

Assisting at the scene were the Edwardsburg Fire Department along with EMS and Pride Care Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
