(LAGRANGE) – It was a busy Monday for the LaGrange County Council.

Council members heard budget presentations from all County
departments in preparation for approving the budget for the 2021-2022 budget year. One of the presentations was from Sheriff Jeff Campos, who was asking for additional funding to hire two new officers for the LaGrange County Jail. ...... {LISTEN}.

By having these officers, Campos says it will keep the inmates safer along with any officers that are in the area.

In addition, Campos is hoping to be able to host inmates from Allen County and other counties, which would make money for his department. ...... {LISTEN}.

The County Council will take Campos' request, and all others, under advisement.
