(STURGIS) – Everything ran smoothly for the City of Sturgis during the November 3 election.

During the City Commission organizational meeting on Monday, City Clerk Ken Rhodes shared some of the numbers with the Commission, saying the number of voters that came out was higher than the previous two Presidential elections. ...... {LISTEN}.

Rhodes says with the large number of absentee ballots submitted not only locally but across the nation, this will change the way future elections will be run. In Sturgis, there were 1800 absentee ballots cast.
