(UNDATED) – There are three candidates vying for the 59th District seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. But only two names will be on Tuesdays' ballot.

Steven Carra is on the ballot as the Republican candidate while Amy East is the Democratic candidate. The third person running for the office is Jack Coleman, who is a write in candidate.

Coleman was a Republican candidate but was defeated in the August Primary election. In an interview with WBET, Coleman says the reason he is a write in candidate is because people reached out to him. ...... {LISTEN}.

Coleman originally announced his candidacy in 2019. He was a regular at the festivals and different events around the county. However, with COVID-19 coming on the scene in March, he changed the way he is getting his message out to the residents of the 59th District. ...... {LISTEN}.

We will hear from the other candidates during future newscasts.
