Sturgis Police Investigating Shots Being Fired Incident

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Police are investigating a report of shots being fired on the city's south side.

Deputy Director of Public Safety Andy Strudwick says officers were called to the area of Williams and Jefferson Streets at 9:40 Wednesday morning. They learned that multiple shots had been fired at a multi-unit residential building from a motor vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting, and police have identified a suspect vehicle based on statements from witnesses, along with security camera footage in the area.

Investigators believe this to be a targeted incident and is not a threat to the general public.
