(LAGRANGE) – LaGrange County schools now have new guidelines regarding COVID-19 quarantining.

During Monday's Lakeland School Board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Eva Merkel shared the new guidelines that went into effect as of Monday. ...... {LISTEN}.

Merkel says these are the guidelines that Lakeland, Prairie Heights and Westview Schools must follow until further notice. The Superintendents of all three districts have been meeting regularly with LaGrange County Health Officer Dr. Tony Pechin (PEACH-in) to make sure everyone understands what rules they need to be following.

Merkel says the three Superintendents have some concerns with these guidelines, specifically that other businesses in LaGrange County are not being held to the same standards as the school districts.

The Lakeland School Board asked Merkel if she could set up a meeting soon with Pechin to discuss these guidelines.
