Fireworks Planned For Fourth Of July Weekend

(UNDATED) – Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, some communities and organizations will be holding Fourth of July firework celebrations this weekend.

Tonight, the City of Sturgis will hold their fireworks display at dusk at the Kirsch Municipal Airport.

On Friday, July 3, you can see fireworks at Coldwater Lake; at Union City High School, in Shipshewana and at Clear Lake.

Fireworks will be seen on Saturday July 4 at Klinger Lake with strict COVID-19 enforcement; in Constantine at the Little League Fields; in Coldwater at Heritage Park and in Rome City over Sylvan Lake and at Lake James.

Also on Saturday the 14th annual Palmer Lake Flotilla will be happening. Decorate your pontoon, deck or fishing boat and this year's theme is “Holidays”. The cost is $10 per entry and the parade of vessels starts at 6 PM at the south end of Palmer Lake. All proceeds will be donated to the Colon American Legion Post 454.
