(STURGIS) – A special event will be held on Saturday to put a spotlight on businesses in southern Michigan counties that are suffering.

The Rally for Southern Michigan will be going on at Oaklawn Park Saturday from 11 AM until 4 PM. Organizers Kevin Skinner and Steve Carra say the economy of Michigan's border counties is suffering as businesses pour into Indiana and Ohio. This rally is being held to bring people together to support the businesses in these counties.

There will be a 5K march and rally along with food, haircuts, speeches, corn hole and more.

The event is free and open to everyone.
