Governor Whitmer issues more executive orders

LANSING – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer during a Friday afternoon news conference thanked the many Michiganders who have been stepping up to help at both the local and State levels as more measures are taken to slow the spread of COVID-19.

She also issued more Executive Orders.

Whitmer says she has talked with several business leaders around the State about their companies manufacturing some of the items Michigan is short on, such as ventilators and masks. Whitmer says Copper Craft Distillery will produce and donate 10,000 gallons of hand sanitizer to health care providers. Dow is working on manufacturing solutions too).

Whitmer says she has asked for funding from President Donald Trump for the Michigan National Guard. They would help distribute food and supplies. Whitmer says she is not calling for marshal law, which is a rumor and false).

Whitmer says there have been and will continue to be economic challenges for Michigan during this situation. She says by working together, we can lessen the blow for everyone until the matter starts to stabilize.
