Wolcottville church hosts talk about depression this Saturday
By: Tim Murray - Tuesday, February 25, 2020

WOLCOTTVILLE – It’s perhaps the most common form of mental illness...and the least talked about.

Messiah Lutheran Church of Wolcottville hopes to shed some light on depression with a half-day seminar this Saturday morning.

Pastor Jason Reed explains why they chose that topic.

"Because depression is that dirty little secret that people don't talk about but really need to. It affects so many people that any kind of presentation like this would be beneficial."

Dr. Beverly Yahnke of Milwaukee is a clinical psychologist and Executive Director For Christian Counsel at DOXOLOGY is the presenter.

"She can speak to a room and you won't believe that it's over when it is, because you aren't looking at your watch. There'll be a Q & A from 12 to 12:30 that I think people will appreciate the ability to just get a little more depth out of what they've heard."

There is no cost to attend and the public is invited.

It is this Saturday from 8 a-m to 12:30p-m at Messiah Lutheran Church on State Road 9 at the north edge of Wolcottville.
