New year brings change at Sturgis Public Schools
By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, January 2, 2020

STURGIS – With the new year, some changes are coming to Sturgis Public Schools.

Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert says with the new year, the District will let people see what's going on in the schools by offering tours. They are available to current families living in the area, perspective families and to the general community. Tours will be offered at early elementary and upper elementary buildings, the Middle School and the High School.

Ebert says there will be some changes to the school's mascot and logo. He says they are bringing back some traditional elements of the Trojan logo and tie it in with some other elements as well.

The School District has worked with Hype Brand Management, who put together a committee to get input and help see what changes should be made to the mascot and logo.

Ebert says the change will be ready when the students return from Christmas break on January 6.
