SIX LAKES, MI – Searchers found the body of a missing 5-year-old Michigan boy Thursday afternoon.

The body of 5-year-old Beau Belson was found in a pond adjacent to the home where he went missing on Christmas afternoon.

Hundreds of volunteers had joined the effort to find the child who went missing around 2:30 p-m Wednesday in Six Lakes.

The recovery was made by the Michigan State Police Marine Services Team.

State Police from the Lakeview Post and 6th District detectives are continuing to investigate.
