COLDWATER – The case against 28 year old Coleman Royer is moving on to Branch County Circuit Court.

District Court officials say a preliminary hearing was held on Wednesday for the Coldwater man, who is charged with Homicide-Felony Murder, along with First Degree and Second Degree Child Abuse in connection with the death of his infant daughter.

Coldwater Police determined the child was initially taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital on February 13 and then taken to Parkview Medical Center in Fort Wayne before being transferred to Ann Arbor.

Following several months of investigation, a warrant was issued October 23 for Royer. On October 24, Royer turned himself in at the Branch County Jail.

Royer is held without bond. He is scheduled to have a pre-trial conference on January 6.
