Thursday traffic stop leads to jail for two men

HOWE – LaGrange County police say a traffic stop last Thursday near Howe led to the arrests of two men for possession of meth and paraphernalia.

Deputies made the stop for a traffic violation on State Road 9 and 700 North.

39-year-old Erik Burkley of Kendallville and 37-year-old Justin Gayhart of Howe were detained and booked at the Lagrange County Jail.

Burkley also received a ticket for operating a vehicle while suspended.
