SHERMAN TOWNSHIP – Authorities recovered a stolen vehicle and made an arrest in connection with the case.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Brad Balk says deputies responded Thursday to the area of Banker Street and Shimmel Road to investigate a person driving a stolen truck. The vehicle left the area, but deputies located it and stopped it. They found John Fox Jr. was driving the pickup.

As a result of the investigation, Fox was arrested on several felony charges, and was found to have an outstanding warrant for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

Fox was arraigned Friday in St. Joseph County District Court on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, forgery and counterfeiting, driving suspended and an improper plate. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
