INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana has its first influenza death of the new season.

All we know is that the person was a resident of Marion County.

The death comes two weeks before the first flu death of last season, when at least 110 Hoosiers died from influenza.

Three times that number died the previous year.

Health officials say anyone over the age of 6 months should be vaccinated against the virus.
