Wednesday, October 16, 2019

ROCHESTER – The woman charged in the incident that brought statewide attention to the problem of stop arm violations goes on trial today in Rochester.

A jury was selected yesterday in the case of Alyssa Shepherd...the young woman charged with three counts of reckless homicide, and single counts of reckless driving causing injury and criminal recklessness.

Police say Shepherd was the alleged driver of a vehicle that drove around a Tippecanoe Valley school bus and struck and killed three children who were attempting to cross the road to board their bus.

A fourth child was seriously injured but survived.
