(COLDWATER TOWNSHIP) - Inclement weather is believed to have been a contributing factor in a crash between a pickup truck and a buggy.
The Branch County Sheriff's Office says at 4:22 PM Monday, a pickup driven by a 45-year-old Quincy man was driving south on North Fiske Road and at the intersection of Jonesville Road, struck the rear of an Amish buggy that was also traveling south.
The buggy was occupied by three men, ages 18, 20 and 23. The 18 year old was taken by Life Care Ambulance to Insight Hospital & Medical Center in Coldwater with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two men were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries and then declined any further medical treatment.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Coldwater Police and Fire Departments and the Michigan State Police.
The incident remains under investigation.
