(BATTLE CREEK) - A Sturgis business owner has been arrested on multiple charges.
Calhoun County District Court officials say that 49 year old Carrie VanDeventer-Douponce has been arrested on a charge of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and Fourth Degree Child Abuse.
Swick Broadcasting has contacted the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office to receive more information into the matter.
VanDeventer-Douponce was able to post a $5,000 bond. She is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing on July 15, and a preliminary examination on July 22 at 1:30 PM.
