(COLDWATER) - A Branch County organization has new leadership.

In a posting on their Facebook page, the Branch County United Way has announced the appointment of Nate Cranson of Bronson as their new Executive Director.

Cranson brings years of management experience, community involvement, fundraising, and relationship-building to this role. His experience owning and managing a successful local business has given him a strong understanding of the importance of giving back, supporting others, and investing in the community the United Way is proud to call home.

Cranson says he is committed to helping raise vital funds, strengthen community partnerships, and support the programs and organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout Branch County.

Cranson's primary focus will be directing the organization's core local pillars of health, youth opportunities, early childhood literacy, and financial security.

The Branch County United Way recently concluded its annual campaign by successfully raising $210,553.53 from 734 individual local donors. The organization's signature fundraising event, the Power of the Purse, raised $58,474.31 to directly benefit early childhood literacy programs.

Cranson replaces Kevin Sheppard who stepped down from the leadership role in May.
