(CENTREVILLE) - To help battle the extreme heat forecast for this week cooling centers are going to be open around St. Joseph County.
In Sturgis there will be two cooling centers, with one at the St. Joseph County Commission On Aging building, 306 North Franks Avenue. They will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 AM until 4 PM each day.
The other Sturgis cooling center will be at the Sturgis District Library, 255 North Main Street. They will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 AM until 7 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 5:30 PM.
There will be two cooling centers in Three Rivers as well. One is at the Three Rivers Commission On Aging , 1200 West Broadway Streets. Hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 AM until 4 PM each day.
Also at the Three Rivers Public Library at 88 North Main Street. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM until 5:30 PM.
There will also be cooling centers at the Constantine Township Library, the White Pigeon Township Library and the Burr Oak Library.
Additionally, you can get cooled down at the Meijer and Wal Mart Stores in both Sturgis and Three Rivers.
