Sturgis wins season opener over Centreville 49-37

(CENTREVILLE) - Host Centreville scored the first six points of the game before the Sturgis defense kicked in and helped the Trojans to a 49-37 non conference win over the Bulldogs. Lukis Bir led Sturgis and all scorers with 16 points. (LISTEN ABOVE).  Simon Phillips had 9 points off the bench for the Trojans while Gavin Lewis had 6 points and 15 rebounds. Centreville's Cash Dentler and Jaden Long-Hasse each had 8 points to lead the team. Isaak Miller had 7 points.
