(STURGIS) - Down after one quarter, the host Sturgis girls basketball team turned up their defense and beat Three Rivers 56-39 in Wolverine Conference action. Cora Phillips led the Lady Trojans and all scorers with a game high 20 points. (LISTEN ABOVE). Angela Cary had 13 points while Kinder Smith added 12 points while Sydney Bir had 8 points. For Three Rivers Dani Glass had a team high 12 points. Emmersyn Quake had 7 points while Karsen Keller had 6 points. Sturgis improves to 17-3 overall and 11-2 in the Wolverine Conference. Three Rivers is 7-11 and 5-7 in the conference.
