(LITCHFIELD TOWNSHIP) - The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash on Friday in the 9000 block of Homer Road. Dakota Osborne, 19, of Jonesville, was driving in the area when his vehicle left the roadway and entered a nearby body of water. The department's Dive Team was called to assist in the investigation and recovery efforts. Osborne was transported by the Reading Emergency Unit to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Hillsdale City Fire Department, Litchfield City Fire Department, Litchfield City Police Department, Affordable Towing, and the Reading Emergency Unit. The crash remains under investigation.
