No. 1 Mendon falls to No. 3 Portland St. Patrick in Regional Finals
(PORTLAND) – Mendon scored on the opening drive of the game, but after that it was all Portland St. Patrick as the No. 3 Shamrocks beat the No. 1 Hornets 51-22 in their 8 Man Division 2 Regional Championship game. Mendon was held to 258 yards of total offense while Portland St. Patrick had 419 yards, with 395 coming on the ground. Owen Gorham had 24 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown. He also had a 52 yard touchdown reception from brother Ryder Gorham, who was 7 of 11 for 115 yards and a touchdown but three interceptions. Ryder also had 10 carries for 41 years and a touchdown. Zack Iobe had 13 tackles to lead the defense. Tristen Wood had 11 tackles as Mendon ends their 2025 season at 10-1. Portland St. Patrick is now 11-0 and will face Deckerville in a State Semi-final game.
