(KALAMAZOO) - It was a tough night for the Sturgis football team as they fell on the road to host Kalamazoo Central 48-0 in non conference action. Except for a few bright spots, the Trojans struggled on both sides of the ball against the Maroon Giants. ...... {LISTEN}. The Trojans were -15 rushing on the night and only 65 yards passing, as Beckett Lamb was 9 of 20 with an interception. Gavin Lewis had 2 carries for 32 yards. Kaidyn Fugate had 7 tackles while Parker Altimus had 5 tackles. Sturgis is now 0-2 and will open the Wolverine Conference portion of their season next week with a trip to Paw Paw. Kalamazoo Central is now 1-1.
