(STURGIS) – It was the Homecoming the Sturgis football team was hoping for. The Trojans got down early, fought back in the second half, but lost to visiting Otsego 30-23 in Wolverine Conference play. Taner Patrick was 15 of 27 for 264 yards, 3 TD’s and an interception. His first touchdown coming late in the third quarter to Brock Fergison. ...... {LISTEN}. Fergison had 3 receptions for 85 yards and 2 TD’s on the night. On defense Nathan Kinder had 10 tackles, while Gibson Cary had 7 stops and Callahan Lamb had 5 tackles. Sturgis drops to 2-4 on the season and 1-3 in the Wolverine Conference. Otsego is 1-5 and 1-3 in the conference standings.
