(PAW PAW) – Host Paw Paw built an early lead and went on to beat the visiting Sturgis 56-42 in Wolverine Conference football action. The Trojans actually outgained the Red Wolves in total offense 470 to 438. Taner Patrick was 10 of 21 for 303 yards and 5 touchdowns for Sturgis. ...... {LISTEN}. Teammate Rasean O’Tey had 5 receptions for 191 yards and 3 TD’s. Brock Fergison had a 33 yard touchdown reception and Jacob Thompson had16 carries for 160 yards and a score of the night. Thompson led the defense with 15 tackles, while Fergison had 9 tackles and Joe Wilson had 8 tackles. Sturgis is now 2-2 overall and in the Wolverine Conference. Paw Paw is 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
