(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Road Commission presented their annual report to the St. Joseph County Commission on Tuesday.

Road Commission Board President Eric Shafer shared about a relatively new program and process that the Road Commission is doing. ...... {LISTEN}.

Shafer says the County is able to get these grants due in part to the tire recycling plant being located in White Pigeon which allows the County to get the materials quickly. That way they don’t have to hire someone and can save the County money.

Shafer also shares where the funding comes from for the Road Commission. ...... {LISTEN}.

Shafer says in 2025, the replacement of the Prairie Corners Bridge and the construction of the roundabout at Lutz Road will be done. Funding is also in place to replace the Farrand Road Bridge in 2026.
