MDOT Proposes Several Projects In St. Joseph County

(LANSING) – St. Joseph County could have several road and bridge projects done in the next five years.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced their five year plan for 2025 through 2029.
According to initial plans, MDOT will be rehabilitating M-66 from the Michigan-Indiana State Line north to Lafayette Street. They would also be reconstructing M-60, M-86 and Business Route U.S. 131 in Three Rivers.
MDOT is also planning on doing a bridge replacement on M-60 with the bridge that crosses Portage River. Also they will plan on doing a healer sealer on M-60 and M-86 over the St. Joseph River. Additionally crews will do overlays on the M-60 and M-66 bridge over Nottawa Creek; the M-60 and U.S. 131 bridge over Rocky River and Rocky River Race.
The plan for MDOT is to also do healer sealer on the M-86 bridge and M-60 over Little Portage Creek, on the M-86 bridge over Prairie River and on the M-86 bridge over Swan Creek.
