(CENTREVILLE) – New information has been released regarding the disappearance of Brittany Shank.

St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman says in a media release that his office along with the Michigan State Police and the Western Michigan University Cold Case Program are committed to this case and remain dedicated to finding a solution.

Shank, who was also known as Brittany Wallace, was 23 years old at the time she disappeared on November 30, 2018, in the 33,000 block of Fawn River Road. A year after Shank went missing, a flyer was placed around the area, saying she ran off the road in a thick fog. She then walked from door to door confused until someone assisted her.

On Monday, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office released the 911 call that Shank made at 8:51 PM the night she disappeared. ...... {LISTEN}.

Bingaman says she came up to a door, with no shoes or coat on and was bleeding from her feet and arms. The man who answered the door called 911 to try and get some help. Shank wouldn’t talk to him while he was making the call. She walked out of the house and hasn’t been seen since then. ...... {LISTEN}.

Shank is just over five feet tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She has hazel eyes and dyed red hair that was shaved on the side.

It’s possible that Shank was with an unidentified man, who was said to be in his mid 20’s. He was said to have an average build, with short blonde hair and mutton chop sideburns.

Bingaman says investigators have had several challenges, including individuals withholding or providing incorrect or incomplete statements. In addition some witnesses have passed away.
