Vandalia Man Injured In Motorcycle v Deer Crash

(CALVIN TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured when their motorcycle struck a deer.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 68 year old Charles Allen of Vandalia, Michigan was driving his motorcycle west on Mt. Zion Street near Kessington Road in Calvin Township just before 5 PM Saturday, when he struck a deer that was in the road.

Allen was ejected from his motorcycle, and then taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Penn Fire Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Company.
