Indiana Man Injured in Cass County Crash

(PORTER TOWNSHIP) – A Northern Indiana man was injured in a two vehicle crash in Southern Michigan.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department was sent out at 6:44 PM Thursday for a motorcycle v truck crash in Porter Township. Deputies say 36 year old James Tran of Bristol, Indiana was driving his motorcycle north on Sunset Boulevard, north of Wayne Street, when the road started to curve. Tran his some loose gravel, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle.

His bike went down on its side and continued going north, crashing into a pick up driven by 35 year old Andrew White of Jones, who was heading south.

Tran was taken by the SEPSA Ambulance Company to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Also assisting at the scene was the Porter Fire Department.
