(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis is moving to a new emergency altering software.

The new program starts on October 1, and will replace Nixle. It will allow residents to sign up for emergency alerts as well as opt-in for additional community event information.

To ensure you do not miss out on any emergency information you can subscribe to one of two options. To sign up for emergency alerts, you can text SturgisMI to 38276. If you want to sign up for emergency alerts and community event information, you can text SturgisEvents to 38276.
