(ANGOLA) – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office has been given permission to purchase bullet proof vests.

Monday morning, the Steuben County Commission was presented with a request from Sheriff Rodney Robinson to submit a grant application. The grant would be for $5,300 and would be used for purchasing bullet proof vests for his deputies.

The Commissioners approved the request. Robinson says he does not have a timeline on when the grant would be approved and when the vests would be arriving.
