(COLDWATER) – Another scam involving the Branch County Sheriff’s Office has been reported.
Sheriff John Pollack says his office has been notified by residents who have received a telephone call from someone claiming to be Fred Blankenship and other Sheriff’s Office staff. The callers tell the potential victims that they have missed jury duty and have to pay a bond.
Pollack says this is a scam, and none of his staff would call someone to ask for a bond.
If you receive a call like this, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 517-278-2325.
