(QUINCY) – Parents in the Quincy School District have voiced their concerns over recent incidents of students experiencing tremors and seizures.

According to WWMT, these and other issues were discussed during a Quincy Board of Education meeting Monday. Recently the School District sent a letter out to parents about the issues.

Quincy Superintendent Marc Kramer says a group of parents has raised concerns that their students along with others, that have been experiencing seizures. While Kramer says there are points of commonality between the students, such as they attend Quincy Schools and they all live in Branch County, the District is not aware of any connection in linking the conditions that
students might be experiencing within the District at the present time.

Kramer told the audience that the School District is planning to test the water that is coming into the school and getting a different water source for students. He also said there is no plan to close the schools.

Kramer says the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency has been working with Quincy Schools closely over the matter.
