(LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP) – Three people escaped serious injury in a one vehicle crash.

St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman says the crash happened near Haines Road and South Fisher Lake Road in Lockport Township on Thursday. A west bound vehicle ran off the roadway to the left, and overturned into the river, ending up upside down.

Two adults and a child were able to get out of the vehicle, and were taken to the Beacon Three Rivers Health Emergency Room for cold exposure.

Assisting deputies at the scene was the Three Rivers Fire Department.
