(GIRARD TOWNSHIP) – A Union City man reported missing has been found dead.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says they were informed that a 63 year old Union City man left his home Wednesday morning to drive to work in Fremont, Indiana and never arrived.

Deputies investigated the matter and even tried tracking the man’s cell phone.

A family friend found some very faint tire tracks behind the Broadheads And Bullets Store near Marshall and Jonesville Roads. Deputies were contacted and they found the man in his pick up.

The preliminary investigation shows the man had a medical issue and drove off the road.
