Ebert explains why the School District is asking for that amount. ...... {LISTEN}.

An operating millage can be used for the business end of education such as teaching, salaries, learning and benefits. This is different that a bond or a site sinking fund.

Ebert says the District chose this Presidential Primary because they thought many people would be casting a ballot, and the District wouldn’t have to pay for the cost of the election.

Ebert says he has been speaking to several different organizations to get the word out about the request and what it will do for Sturgis Public Schools.
