(MASON TOWNSHIP) – Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Cass County’s Mason Township.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says 27 year old Tyrek Paxton of Dowagiac was traveling west on Mason Street at 9:25 AM Friday, and failed to stop at the stop sign at Cassopolis Road. Paxton’s vehicle struck an automobile driven by 30 year old Tyler Lambright of Cassopolis, which was heading north.

Lambright’s vehicle went off the road and struck a residence at the intersection.

Lambright and a passenger in the Paxton vehicle, 32 year old Decarlo Woodard of Indianapolis, were taken by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Paxton was taken to Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in Niles for treatment of his injuries.

Deputies say all three occupants were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.
