LaGrange Chamber Unveils New Vision And Mission Statements

(SHIPSHEWANA) – The LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce unveiled their new vision statement and motto during their annual meeting on Thursday.

The Chamber’s annual meeting and their annual Member Showcase were held at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana.

Chamber Executive Director Sara Patrick made the announcement during her State of the Chamber address. The new vision is “To be a champion for generational prosperity in LaGrange County”, and the new Chamber mission statement is “Fostering hometown culture. Driving exponential success”.

Patrick also announced the winners of the annual Chamber Awards. Sarah Clarkston received the Chamber Ambassador Award while Keith James was named the Chamber Director Of The Year.

Five new awards were also given out. The Nonprofit Of The Year went to The Farm, for it’s work with children who are moving through the foster care system. The Educator Of The Year went to Lakeland High School biomedical teacher Sherry Severson.

In addition, Octavia Yoder, Executive Director of the LaGrange County Community Foundation was named the Young Professional Of The Year; Keith James Photography received the Small Business Of The Year Award and Farmers State Bank was winner of the Member Of The Year award.
