Sturgis Public Schools Receive Clean Audit Report

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools are doing well financially.
During Monday’s work session, the Sturgis Board of Education was presented with the audit report for the 2021-2022 school year. Matt Kelly of Plante Moran presented the audit and shared that the School District received a clean, unmodified opinion, which is the highest they can give.
Kelly talked about the General Fund, which is the major operating fund for the school district. ...... {LISTEN}.
The biggest part of the budget goes for salaries, wages and benefits of District employees.
