(LANSING) – The repaving of a section of M-60 that runs through St. Joseph County is underway.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says crews will be repaving 6.1 miles of M-60 from Corey Lake Road to U.S. 131 in Fabius Township. The cost of the project is $1.4 million.

Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic regulators in the work area.

The project is expected to be finished by October 31.

The M-60 project is among three others that are being started today around Michigan. They are part of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Rebuilding Michigan Plan and the bipartisan Building Michigan Together Plan, which are both helping build a safe infrastructure, that makes a difference for families and small businesses in Michigan.
